Journey, First Command’s award-winning client magazine, recently took home honors in the International Association of Business Communicator’s 2010 Bronze Quill Competition.

Journey received recognition for work related to the nation’s economic turmoil. Our submission included stories that incorporated original research from the First Command Financial Behaviors Index^®, which we used to gauge American consumer opinion on timely topics throughout the recession. Also, the submission included a couple of other award-winning feature articles. They were:

•  “Healing Our Heroes,” the cover story of our Summer 2009 issue and winner of a Best of Texas Award from the Texas Public Relations Association's 2010 Silver Spur/Best of Texas Competition.
• “Time Machines,” the cover story of our Spring 2009 issue and winner of a Pearl Award from the Custom Publishing Council.
