The U.S. Coast Guard has honored the members of First Command’s Vacaville, Calif., office for their ongoing support of the Chief Petty Officer Academy in Petaluma, Calif. For more than six years, First Command has championed the five-week leadership course by providing financial support for every graduation dinner. At about 65 graduates per class and ten classes per year, First Command is sponsoring several hundred meals a year. Also, First Command Financial Advisors participate in each graduation dinner with a formal presentation to the student who wins the Athletic Achievement Award.

“We are honored to be associated with and allowed to sponsor such a great event and organization,” said First Command District Advisor Gary Svatek, CFP®, ChFC®, who leads the Vacaville office. “We intend to continue this sponsorship and strengthen the great relationship we have with the Coast Guard for many years to come.”
